Director of Development, Haslam College of Business, UT Knoxville
My position includes
building a foundation of long-term relationships with alumni and donors to support the initiatives and needs of the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
To understand what I do, you must understand
that each relationship is unique and takes dedicated time and effort to cultivate and create meaningful impacts.
My favorite part of my job is
witnessing the firsthand impact that a donor’s support has on our students through the scholarships that aid students in achieving their educational goals. Knowing that the work I put in every day is a small part of a student’s success, makes the time and effort worthwhile.
As a kid I wanted to be
a martial arts superstar. Bruce Lee was a childhood idol of mine.
If I was gifted with a secret power, it would be
teleportation so I would have the ability to be in numerous places.
My bucket list includes
traveling abroad and seeing parts of the world I have yet to explore.
My personal motto is
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
My theme song is
“A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke.
Few know that I
had the privilege of meeting the entire Atlanta Braves baseball team when I attended the 1995 World Series. In addition, I spend my extra time woodworking and building furniture.
The best piece of advice I ever received was
always be your best self.
I start each morning with
thankful meditation and a prayer of protection for my children.
