Alumni Assistant, UT Martin
My position includes
all things alumni from data entry to event planning. I’m usually the first person to greet alumni, whether by phone or in person.
To understand what I do, you must understand
that alumni engagement is a vital part of advancement overall.
My favorite part of my job is
event planning and the relationships formed with alumni and donors through the years.
As a kid I wanted to be
a teacher simply so I could enjoy summers off.
If I was gifted with a secret power, it would be
the ability to freeze time.
My bucket list includes
in the near future, a road trip out west with my girls and eventually living out retirement lakefront with my husband.
My personal motto is
with God all things are possible.
My theme song is
“Yellow” by Coldplay, because it reminds me of my girls.
Few know that I
have two girls 12 years apart in age. Our oldest, Tristen, is a sophomore at UTM and our youngest, Taelyn, is in the second grade.
The best piece of advice I ever received was
from my grandma: “Remember who you are and whose you are.”
I start each morning with
a friendly wagging welcome from my two cavapoo pups, Casen and Lacey.
